Ladyjane - I agree that the best information comes from one's own vet. I have seen incorrect information posted on the internet as well. The group I was referring to on facebook is a support group, not a medical/informational group. The members are very supportive of each other and provide a shoulder to lean on. It's a tough path to walk when your dog has been diagnosed with kidney failure and sometimes just having someone say "I have been there and know how you feel" helps a lot.
