I bought my pup at a pet store. This paticular pet stote only buys from local breeders. I bought him under the impression he was a yorkie, his papers stated he was a yorkie and my vet listed him just as that. Then he started getting big. He was 8.5 pounds at 5 months old. I brought it up to my vet and he said it happens that before they were breed to be small they were 25 lb dogs. So i dropped it. He is now 7 months and weighs 11 lbs and is perfectly healthy. Three weeks ago i noticed he didnt have the big round eyes most of his yorkie friends have. And that his back is longer then theres. Soo we went into the vet and did a blood test. Turns out he is a pure breed silky terrier. So the papers were wrong and my vet. I say if you really wanna know get blood work done. Thata the only sure way to tell.
