I am not a fan of flea collars either. I am also not a fan of HARTZ flea/tick topical products either as ive seen cats die from being put on this ...I was a vet tech for 8 years, and ive seen it all!
I have Fiona and her Sister, Honey ( lab/pitt mix) on REVOLUTION. It's a flea/heart worm preventative, and you can literally bathe your pets about 4 hours after applying it, and it won't risk the effectiveness of the medication.
I usually take my dogs off this in winter time, but for some reason with us living all around woods, they are prone to get fleas a lot more easily, so i'll be keeping them on it year round this year.....
