diane and jim frenchtown nj puppy mill breeders Diane and Jim in Frenchtown NJ have a system where they offer a low price for Miniature Schnauzer puppies. They post pictures of the puppies and want a $300 deposit ( non refundable ) from you before you see the puppy. You pay the balance when you pick up the puppy.
When you arrive on their property you can see the kennel they have set up for the dogs outside and away from the house. They do not allow you to approach the kennel. We visited Diane three times and tried to ignore the eery site of the set up with the small wooden kennel barn outside their house and wondered why each time we visited we never saw or heard any of these dogs outside of the kennels. We had visited on warm weather days and it never occurred to us that the dogs were never let outside. Frankly, it's like a prison camp for the dogs that they are breeding.
Diane will have your puppy ready for you to see in her kitchen in a metal crate. If you inquire on the parents of the puppy she will tell you she has been doing this for a number of years and is very careful when breeding her many Schnauzer female and male dogs. If you follow her listing on breeders.net you will see that she seems to have new puppies every other month, very much like a factory.
I would caution anyone from buying from this breeder. We had a very bad experience with the puppy we adopted from her and not only did she not refund our $600 payment, she also charged us an additional $200 and wanted all the paper work back to return the puppy.
If she was a reputable breeder she would have taken the puppy back ( after 1 day ) and given us our money back.
It appears as though Diane and Jim have changed their address a few times, my guess is that people are catching on their puppy mill scheme.
If you happen to go there to adopt, please pause and look at the kennel on their property and think about the dogs that are in there before you adopt. |
