It was similar with Minnie, she got IV's three times and drank tons of water but only lived a week after first getting really sick. She was having these small seizures where she would lightly snap at the air like she was trying to catch a group of gnats over her head, but she was in such a delicate state that both my main vet and the ER vet I went to the night she had her first regular seizure (15 seconds or so) recommended against putting her on seizure drugs unless they progressed to grand mal seizures. It did progress to grand mal on a Sunday night when I was 45 minutes from the nearest ER and by the time I got her to the ER that night there was nothing that could be done. At least I know she was unconscious during the grand mal seizure and had a decent quality of life that last week after getting her first IV. She was pretty happy and lively, though peeing every 15 minutes of course. But it was so hard to see those seizures.
