oh my, I am so glad you were so quick thinking and that she did not get hurt. We have had a family of coons living in my oak tree on my front lawn I only would see them at dusk making their way down the tree to head to the lake for water. We tried to trap them but it never worked. I don't even know if the coons are still there since I hardly ever saw them. I only let Lola out via leash but the thought of this just sends chills down my spine because I always figured they would run if we came near them. Our trash cans thankfully are kept in the garage.
