My boy was like your girl, I took Ann's suggestion and used the tiny claw, it's fast, it holds, it works. After doing this for the summer (2 months) I can now use rubber bands, he still wiggles around, he is 4 y/o, adopted, never had a top knot, but is getting use to it. As for the biting I would be consistent with the command NO BITING in very firm voice, if that does not work, as Ann has suggested, the Bark Genie. Good luck BTW, your baby is adorable hot mess and all lol.
