I've been feeding raw (Primal or NV) for 7 straight years now to all of my dogs (4 now) and have never, ever had a single one get sick from it and I do nothing special to sanitize or anything like that. I LOVE it! I love how fresh it is and that it's as natural as possible.
I think dogs can do well on many different types of diets though...kibble, canned, home cooked, refrigerated pet food (like Fresh Pet or whatevs) etc...
