Upper is kidney lower is bladder/tract or cystitis. Is he having any vomiting, not wanting to eat? Frequent urination, urinating in the house, leaking or blood in the urine? If he isn't having any of these symptoms and it is just diarrhea and nothing else I would continue to follow your vets advice. Is he on a probiotic? What meds did doc prescribe....was one metronidazole? Sorry for all the questions....we went through the diarrhea but with Winnie when she was a puppy (mainly food related....too high protien) and these were some of the things she had that made her better. I know there are a lot of folks here who's furry ones have tummy problems their whole life and require certain foods and or diet restrictions. I hope your little guy feels better soon!
