Hi there Yters,
(disclaimer, No I am not a minor, I am independant, just live in a multi-family home.)
Colby has been having bouts of "upset" tummy. Being a picky eater, and a puppy everyone in his life, including myself, WERE indulging him with tiny amounts of human foods. His "hunger" strikes were beginning to increase. What seemed to fall in line with these strikes where days where he was spoiled to much. 2 weeks ago we went to the Vet. Came home with temporary and permanent meds, and told to follow his food diet and NO CHEATING. Might have a food allergy and we are just making him sick. Thing is last night he had another bout of upset tummy. He did not cheat and we watch him like a hawk, he's not eating bird poop or anything. No vomiting but asked to go out 2 times in the middle of the night(diarrhea) and Colby likes his beauty sleep. That is not normal. Sometimes he seems "hot" to me. But usually after play time so was told that was not a concern. I ran across an article tonight about dogs and UTI's and it says there are 2 kinds. Upper and Lower. Does anyone on here have experience with a dog and an UPPER UTI? What symptoms did your dog present? I'm confident that my vet was correct about his sensitive belly. But what if not and he is miserable?
