Piper is 9 1/2 lbs--the perfect size for me. I think it's kind of odd that most of the people that comment about Piper not being a 'full' Yorkie are with friends, dog-less, and are several feet away from us. Even on Piper's vet papers, she's listed as "silky," but my veterinarian of 20 plus years said from day one that Piper is definitely all yorkie. Like you, I don't give a damn what people say, but their haughty, know-it-all attitude is irritating. I'll also say that every single time a fellow yorkie owner approaches, they come all the way, ask for permission, and every, every time comment on what a cute little yorkie Piper is...Then if possible, they show pictures of their little ones and always we have a conversation comparing notes! I find that true Yorkie lovers and/or owners are classy, kind, and caring; their comments are always positive.
