Try not to let it bother you too much. I have a 9 year old Yorkie who weighs 7 lbs. He is at the upper end of standard size, and he is beautifully colored as a Yorkie and people will still ask me if he is a mix.

Then I have 2 Yorkie mix puppies who I know are a mix as I know both their parents because a friend of mine owns them. People argue with me when I tell them they are a Yorkie mix and insist I must be mistaken as they look pure bred. They are both 7 1/2 lbs at 6 months old.

Some people just don't know what they are talking about.
