Welcome to YT, I know it's up setting to hear someone suggest your dog is not pure breed simply based on size, I've gone through it for 35+ years. All my girls were bigger girls 9Lbs, 13 Lbs, my last was a whopping 17 Lbs. ppl are use to seeing the smaller yorkies. My now adopted boy is 12 lbs, he sports a puppy cut, yesterday I was at the vet, sitting next to a girl maybe 16 y/o. Cody was flirting with her, ya, know, batting his eye lashes, he does that around the ladies lol. she was petting him then asked me what kind of dog was he, I say yorkie, but a bigger yorkie, she says oh he must be a silky, I just smiled. You get use to it, you know what your baby is, you love your baby, what other ppl think does not matter, they are uneducated on yorkies. Several months ago again at the vet an elderly man comes in carry a tiny crate, sees me and Cody,he's looking and looking at Cody, then asked me what breed he was, I say a large yorkie, he tell me in this crate he had a 3.5 yorkie, says he never saw such a big yorkie, I tell him my last yorkie was 17 lbs, he says are your sure it was a yorkie lol. Even ppl with yorkies don't know they can come is all sizes. There are so many ppl breeding mixes today if someones yorkie is over standard size now they think it has to be a mix. Ignore these ppl. It's not worth getting upset over what uneducated ppl think. You love her and that's all that matter......Thank you for rescuing this precious lil girl
