Leaving Yorkies Alone I don't work so my girls only get left when I go shopping, and usually Saturdays for about 8 hours. After 8 hours alone they are ok, but if I went out the next day even for a couple of hours, they follow me to the door, jumping and barking and wanting to go with me, they don't want me to go. I usually take them in the car whenever I can. I was curious what the did when I'm not home, so I set up a camera, they did not do much, they would look out the window most of the time waiting for me, and sleep, they would not eat when I was not there, and they did not play with each other. They are pee pad trained, so that goes well. Also when I am not home I always leave the TV on for them. Maybe if you work, you should consider Doggy Daycare or someone who is able to come in and sit with them and take them for a walk. I have a hard time being away from my girls for very long, after about 3 hours I start to worry, my husband thinks I am nuts. Nuts about Yorkies I say. |
