Hello all,

I just wanted to give a little Tinkerbell update. All has been going very well for us, no tummy issues - yay!!! She just finished her 6 weeks of B-12 shots, and will get another in a month. She actually liked our little routine of going to the vet Saturday morning, then we would take a little drive and let her enjoy the car ride with the wind in her hair. So I think, pray, and hope that the B12 shots have helped her tummy. I do not have her on the Mirtazapine every day, because she has a good appetite and is a happy little girl. It's crazy to think we are nearly one year after her diagnosis - because I think she has handled it all very well considering the circumstances. I no longer monitor her blood sugar. Instead, she gets tested every now and then at the vet. It stressed me out, and her and it got to the point where I couldn't take a blood sample because I was shaking so much. I just didn't see the point in taking it since it would not change anything as far as her medication or treatment. But she is a happy little girl, getting into anything she can and being her happy ornery self What's funny is now she is starting to snuggle with Maddie, our Cocker Spaniel rescue who had surgery about 2 months ago. They never used to lay together, and now it's their little thing. (Even though Tink will steal Maddie's big bed if given the chance )
Thank you for keeping Tinky in your thoughts and prayers, she's such a little trooper!
