Cuddle a 4 month old puppy hahahahaha. They are high energy babies, want to run, wrestle, zoom through house like devil is after their butt, cuddle!!!! lol, do not fear, when he gets a bit older he'll settle down a bit, life is still new to him. You can cuddle him but do not force him to stay, when he wants finished let him go. Not every dog likes to be pet by strangers, but continue to socialize him, he is still a baby. Not every yorkie is the same, they all have diff. personalities. I had 4 yorkies, Cody is my 5th I adopted him at age 2.5 y/o he is now 4 y/o and all had diff. personalities, no two were the same. You cannot compare him to your past yorkie. At 4 months old, if he cannot jump on and off the bed it is dangerous to have him sleep with you, also not a good idea if he is not 100% potty trained. Maybe the heat that generates from your body is to hot for him and reason he chooses to sleep alone. Brushing a 4 month old puppy hahahahaha, it's a battle, they like to bite the brush, the hand, they wiggle around, can't stay still lol. Brush for a few minutes through out the day, yorkies are a high energy pup. Take tiny steps with this little boy, short brushing periods and treats when the brushing is over, he needs to get use to brushing. Patience is a must with this breed. My first 3 yorkies were hyper but manageable, my 4th lol, was a WILD CHILD lol, no cuddles, no brushing, wanted to play, play and more play. By 7 months she settled down and was easier to manage. Keep up with brief cuddle, a few minutes of brushing and a treat, keep up the socialization but do not force him to be pet by strangers if he does not want it. He will change you will see. He just has a lot of puppyness in him let him be a puppy, they grow so fast.
