I most definitely agree. Doing a Blood panel aka pre anesthetic blood work without any fasting. The results tell you if the BA levels are normal or not. If they are not normal then there should be a concern of LS. There is no reason why that can't be done by a breeder. I urge all those lookign for a puppy to ask their breeder to do a full blood panel on the puppy to be and send you the results.
I understand Amy's frustration. We always blame ourselves when things like this happen. Please be at piece and accept the fact that you did everything you could at that time. Now, you are more aware for the next bundle of joy that comes along. Hugs to you Amy!!
