This is exactly what happened to one of ours on a regular basis, my hubby give the girls "numnums" that is a small handful if kibble given to each one as soon as they wake up, kind of like breakfast in bed! Lol!
But... None of them have any bile issues any more!

Dogs stomachs have more acid than we do and need something in to curb the acid production. Try the numnum approach, I hope it works for you!
