Bordatella thru the nose is done using a LIVE virus.....and very, very often will result in a case of kennel cough....a tough case of kennel cough that is very difficult to get rid of. Vets will NOT admit that is the problem, because the next thing out of a patients mouth MAY be, "Well, since you GAVE my healthy pup kennel cough that it seems we are having a terrible time getting rid of, I shouldnt have to foot all the $$$$$ for the antibiotics, etc., I am having to buy to help my pup!~"
I always insist on the shot for bordatella on the rare occasions that I give it to a dog.....either the shot, or nothing. I have had too many dogs come down with the upper respiratory issues from the drops in the nose = live virus. |
