Welcome to Yorkie Talk. A couple possibilities for the unusual stools: being overfed, or the chicken addition, or maybe an anal gland problem.

How much does your boy weigh?

Chicken and rice are usually good for putting my younger boy's system back on track after diarrhea, but too much of a good thing also causes both of my boys' problems.

Eating too much in general can cause diarrhea.

Anal glands: does your boy express his glands naturally or are they done manually by a groomer or vet? Does he strain to eliminate?

Pumpkin: can be helpful for many dogs, but gives my boys diarrhea. I have used it only when they were constipated.
