Hi everyone, I must admit that when I first started looking for a baby I was looking for a teacup. I didn't know that it wasn't a term to be used. I don't live in the united states, I live 8 hrs from our capital on a farm so I was looking for a tiny dog that I could bring with me when I travel so she did not have to be left at home because I was afraid something might happen to her while I was gone. Most of the time I travel on a bus that doesn't allow dogs, thus the need to hide her. Well I found a little baby and quickly realized that any dog that weighs only 2 or 3 lbs was way to small. I use to pray everyday that she would grow. I am one of the lucky few, my baby is a chow hound, there is nothing that she loves more than eating. I think that because she loves to eat she has grown bigger. She just turned one year old and weighs 4 1/2 lbs. I am so happy, she is a pound bigger than I thought she would be!!! I do have a question for all of you though, she just loves to Jump. She just about flies on and off our couch. She sleeps with me but my bed is high so never tries to jump off or on it, but after reading all the posts here I am wondering if I should be trying to keep her from jumping at all? Also any advice about how to go about keeping her from jumping?? |
