You are absolutely NOT being unreasonable. If they don't want you to see your babies ahead of time you should run as fast as you can away from these people. They probably want you to pay ahead of time. THIS SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM. Every reputable breeder will want you to meet the puppies first. I know it is hard but I would start your search again. There are many people on this board who can advise you where to start.
