I hope you read about finding a good home for the dogs and how to educate the new owners on Yorkie ownership. Yorkies aren't for everyone and need lots of training and vet care, especially tooth care, which can be very expensive. I hope you encourage the owners to get the dogs fixed and not become breeders, people shouldn't breed their pets. I also hope you get Bella fixed. I know her diet is very important, but there is so much misinformation going around about what to give her, I hope you can get with someone who knows what they are talking about. Best of luck!

Offer momma cottage cheese, and QUALITY dog food specifically for nursing mommas....I am not sure Royal Canin sells breeders formula unless you are a breeder....if not, you need to go to a pet food store and purchase dog food SPECIFICALLY for nursing mommas....she needs to watched closely for signs of eclampsia (tremors, convulsions, and stiffness in legs, and followed by death) since she has not been nurtured thru this pregnancy with a diet that was geared for developing puppies and whelping. Have momma and puppy checked by your vet to be sure momma passed all afterbirth....and that the puppy is healthy. You can supplement mommas diet with a calcium powder designed for nursing mommas....you can also fix her a whelping pudding that is excellent....THANKS TO MARY MARDELIN OF MARDELIN YORKSHIRE TERRIERS:........
1 cup goats milk
= amt. distilled water
1 beaten egg yolk
1 tbsp karo syrup
Momma gets this to drink following birthing....

Also:
This is a very nourishing pudding for momma to eat several times during the day:
1 c. evaporated milk (I personally use goats milk)
12 oz distilled water
1 envelope unflavored geletin (dissolved in warm water)
2 well beaten egg yolks
2 tbsp Karo syrup
2 tbsp vanilla yogurt (lo fat)

Thank you again Mary of Mardelin Yorkshire Terriers, for this wonderful essential pudding!!.....

I also give my mommas scrambled eggs, boiled chicken, offer cheese, offer a little chicken liver boiled,..... Watch to be sure momma is getting enough calcium to prevent eclampsia....I give mine medicine made for that...some people give Tums ....you can also give kipper snacks or sardines if momma will eat them....
