Hello everyone -

As some of you may know... My puppy who is now 18 weeks old has been sick with Kennel cough since June 7th (at 10 weeks old). She was on antibiotics until last week. She still has the cough (randomly - usually when she wakes up or gets too excited) but is less frequent and is playful and eating well. Last time we got her booster distemper shot it seemed to set her back and get her sick again... I'm wondering how long should I wait before she gets her last distemper/rabies shot. I plan to break them up just to make sure she doesn't get extremely sick. My thoughts were to maybe wait a little over a week(close to 2 weeks) of no cough before taking her to the vet for shots. Her next visit is scheduled for Saturday and she is supposed to get the distemper shot...My only concern is that she is getting a little old and I cannot take her around other dogs...will this affect her as far as socialization?? I was told that it's important to socialize them within the first 6mos of age...
