"Nothing" or "no one" that YOU can see!!! I had 3 of my babies lying on the bath mat at my tub while I took a bath, and they all jerked up, swung their heads in the exact same direction, and barked and growled all at the same time.....there was no one there that I could see or hear.....but animals have another dimension open to them......
