I am reminded of when Dr. Spock admitted a couple of years ago, that the gravest mistake he ever made was to encourage a "new" way to raise your children....permissiveness and few restrictions, allowing them to explore and investigate unrestrained and unhindered, in order to push the edges of their life experiences to the absolute unlimited boundaries.....Dr. Spock came out and said he is haunted by the gravest mistake he ever made in his position as a pediatrician, by advocating hands off rearing, allowing children to run amok, unrestrained and uncorrected, to reach their full potential as a well rounded human being. He actually stated he will go to his grave, knowing he is responsible for the ruination of at least 3 generations of children, encouraging the rearing of children whose behavior and self restraint had deteriorated to the level of wild animals. Unfortunately, it takes the ruination of generations of children and in the case of this specific article, breeds of dogs, for the "masterminds" of these "experiments in design" to realize the damage they have done.
