Glad you found a hotel that would allow it. Honestly I don't see any problem with sneaking one in if you had to. When on road trips with a quick one night stay, we usually stay at La Quinta's bc they don't charge for pets, and they have free continental breakfasts. IRCC, LQ also asks for a phone number in case there is an issue with the dogs. I always let them know we have the dogs, and no longer try to sneak into a no pets hotel. Mine bark anyway, so there's no way. But if you declare two, and there's three, and they bark, you can't really tell exactly how many dogs there are. You can only tell if there's one, more than one, or a whole bunch of them. LOL
