Animal Smiley 019 New Yorkie Owner Intro & Color Question

This is my first post to the forms, so I wanted to introduce myself and show off some pics of my new pup. He was born on Feb 6th of this year and we have had him just over 3 weeks.

We only owned one dog previously. He was a West Highland White Terrier and we had him from puppyhood until he passed away at age 14. He suffered from diabetes and needed insulin injections at every meal the last 4 years and was plagued with skin conditions & hair loss. Also the vet diagnosed him with cancer, but he stayed just as playful & happy the day before he died in his sleep than the day we brought him home as a puppy.

It took us a few years to get over the loss and when we went to the breeder we were not set upon a specific breed. Among the many other dogs there, Enzo's looks & sweet personality won us over right away. He is nothing but a joy and has picked up basic commands & housetraining faster than we imagined possible. From walking on a leash to socialization he seems to pick up everything almost naturally compared to the struggle we had with our Westie as a brand new pup.

Now I do have a question about his color. I attached one pic and I planned on more, but due to the file size limitations I can't add any others until I edit them to be smaller. I have read all kinds of info on this and other sites about how a Yorkie's colors mature, but I'm not sure how it fit in specifically with my dog. To me he looks black & white. As I mentioned before we loved his looks & personality and his breed was of secondary concern. When the breeder said he was a Yorkie I was surprised because he sure doesn't look like the stereotypical golden color that comes to mind. Just keep in mind that I'm a guy and subtle color shades are a bit lost upon me. His paperwork said black & silver, but I see black & white. So will the white parts turn more brown/golden as he ages? Will the black stay black or become more of the "blue" color I've seen mentioned?

Thanks in advance for your help and I'm glad to have such a large, friendly, and helpful community to turn to when it comes to my new Yorkie, Enzo!
