Our girls loved them, and they loved our girls. All three got sick within a day of our leaving. She took them to the vet, and he put them on Flagyl. We came home early. The next time we went away our dear friends stayed in our home instead of theirs, and it worked out better. Kiwi, our alpha, eventually ended up becoming so sensitive, and she got very depressed when we went away. She had chronic colitis, and we no longer could leave her, so we stopped going away unless our girls could go with us. It was a very small sacrifice to make for all the love they brought into our lives.
I hope your girls will be back to normal soon. I give Katie probiotics daily. My dear friend was getting cut Tylan powder (small amount of Tylan mixed with unflavored Metameucil) from her vet to use when her dogs had upset stomachs. She only uses it for occasional issues but not if they are sick. It works great, but I check with my vet usually about most things. |
Thank you. The Bungalow we are buying was owned by a retired US air force Colonel. He and his wife split their time between Lincolnshire and Colorado, where their children live. He unfortunately died two years back in the USA and his wife
(an English lady with a cairn terrier) has decided to now move permanently there.
Inside this lovely place, the doors are imported American walnut as is the beautiful fireplace surround and many other tasteful touches and additions.
Best of all there's a stunning garden, 'Doggy secure', completely enlosed and private, so our young family can bounce around and play for all the rest of their days.
I will never expose them to long away stays again, they're really happy in their home with mom and dad and staying away seems very stressful. For the love and great happiness they give me in the Autumn of my life I really wanted this new home, more for them and Irina than myself, because their happiness compliments mine too.
