A quick let out on a collar to go poop isn't gonna hurt, IMO. I know what you mean about the harness being a pain to get on -- especially with young wiggly puppies. You could just snap the collar on, take her out real quickly so she poops outside, and then put her in her harness for the remainder of the walk.
Jackson's a bigger boy but can have a sensitive neck. But for nighttime quick potty breaks he gets let out on a martingale collar with a flexi lead. It's no more than 60 seconds.
My moms cockapoo pup had to be shaved because they left the harness 24/7 and her hair got sooo matted. |
