 Terrified of my aunt's puppy
My aunt just got a westie puppy, she's 9 weeks, 4-5lbs, and so sweet and sassy.
Lola is 2 years old and 7-8lbs, she hasn't had much dog contact except brief meetings in petstores, she loves to greet the other dogs and then walk away.
I took Lola to my aunt's house to meet the puppy and Lola is terrified of her, the puppy was chaseing her and Lola ran with her ears and tail down then flopped on her back and shook when the puppy caught her.
I tried sitting on the floor with Lola in my arms and let the puppy sniff her, she tried to climb my shoulder, so I held the puppy and Lola ran to my mom.
What can I do? I don't want Lola to have fear issues and it would be good for her to get along with the puppy incase my aunt watches her or I watch the puppy, we also go over there for holidays and stuff.
My aunt is bringing the puppy over tomorrow. |
