Great post for those that want to breed their yorkies and not have the knowledge. Years ago we bought our dear little Keally and thought this lady was a good breeder. Well it turned out she had genetic ibd all her life. We were devastated and the vet bills were crazy but we loved her so much. She also had separation anxiety issues because the breeder let her go at six weeks and we were too stupid to read up about this stuff.Anyways we had her for 12 1/2 years and were so devastated to have to say goodbye. This breeder still breeds today and still has some genetic ibd in her line. I wished people would understand about breeding yorkies and other breeds. Six months later we did find a wonderful breeder and bought a healthy happy puppy. Her name is Kinder and time flies she is five years old. I hope people read your post and mine and go to a reputable breeder who cares about the yorkie breed. Susan
