I would love to hear about symptoms your pups experienced while going through this. I got my little guy at 8 weeks this past Thursday and its been stressful ever since! He was treated for fleas and termites with in 2 days of being with me. He also got his first round of shots at that time. He never really ate anything I offered which I chalked up to being at a new home but then Monday he started throwing up anything he did eat. No diarrhea or blood in his stool. I took him back to the Vet yesterday to make sure he wasn't hypoglycemic. Everything was good. The vet has suspicions he may be younger than 8 months and was weaned too early so he gave me formula to try
He would drink it but would throw it up immediately. The first 3 nights he was very vocal at night whining and crying. I woke up this morning after not hearing him all night worried sick. I dropped off a stool sample this morning, I should hear back tomorrow. The vet examined some of his stool today and said he could see some bacteria so he gave me some antibiotic but he just threw up the first dose I gave him. Does any of this sound like what anyone has experienced with Giardia?! |
