For those who say yorkies don't shed and don't affect poeple with allergies you are 100% WRONG! My Mil is allergic to my yorkie and ALL dogs, my sil is a vet and said that yorkies are easier on people with allergies because they shed LESS not shed not at all. And because of the quality of hair they have, but yorkies still carry dander and that is what people are allergic too.
I love my yorkie as much as the next one and I consider her family, but I consider her first a dog, a wonderful dog but a dog. And I don't understand putting your dog in a carrier or purse and taking her everywhere I go. I understand if you love that sorta thing but I am a firm beliver that for everyone that likes it there will be one that does'nt. I feel it is disrespectful and rude to just think people should deal with your dog being in the store with them. I would not shop anywhere that allowed pets inside, not even a place like homedepot. Dogs are unpredictable no matter how small or cute and if a yorkie is allowed in then so should a huge great dane and that would cause saftey issues. Like many of the people on here that have had there yorkie bite a child who reaches in to touch them, kids are kids and if you turn your back they may try to pet the puppy and to be truthful if a dog in a store every bit my daughter they would have to fight me off the dog! People and there feeling should come before a dogs, humans are humans and dogs are dogs! |
