Caleb used to get really itchy after any shampooing (we've had him checked at the vets). I've started rubbing coconut oil in his skin, just melting a bit on my hands and rubbing it in and the itching stops. (He's also worse in the winter, with the central heating)
He's prone to patchy dry skin, and since the coconut oil, the patchy dry skin has cleared up. Coconut oil has a lot of other benefits also.
