I have always fed oatmeal to a dog that has had a stomach issue. I make a great big pot of it and then scoop out some for the dogs, they think it is a great treat! Then I fix up the rest of the pot of oatmeal for my family with brown sugar or cinnamon or maple syrup or whatever i want in ours.

I let the dogs cool to a reasonable temperature where they will not be burned, usually about the time we are finished eating. They love it!

I usually feed them this for a day and then try them back on their dog food and see how they do. This plain oatmeal was highly recommended by my vet, several actually for a dog I had that had constant stomach issues.
