I think that it truly depends upon the dog. How much hair they are actually growing between their paw pads. While Yorkies are usually not a heavy coated breed - they still can easily accumulate debris and *stuff* between their paw pads.


I always trim the paw pads of all my dogs. I use a clipper to do so.
