I posted a thread like this a few weeks ago.
I'm in the same boat. My Yorkie Bella is 7 months old and 3lbs. I was told she may hit 4lbs as an adult. Her mom is 6lbs and Dad 5lbs or 4lbs i'll have to look it up but I was told by the breeder she would be 5-51/2lbs full grown (not gonna happen).
My other Yorkie Ruby is 5lbs and I find Bella's size holds her back from doing regular dog things that Ruby can do such as, go for a walk in the cold, going up and down stairs, jumping off things, she doesn't play as much but cuddles instead, picky eater and doesn't like being wet.
My BF and I always call her our little cat because she's more like a cat then a dog but we Love her a lot!
You just have to be extra careful.
