Question collapsed trachea: keep air dry or moist?

I've been reading more into collapsed trachea since my yorkie has a bad collapse in her chest area, she is young, 3 years old, and was officially diagnosed last year I've been reading so many articles by vets, some say keep the air dry as possible with a dehumidifier, and others are saying use a cool-mist humidifier to keep the air moist and easy to breath, i'm so confused and have no idea what kind of climate she should be kept in? anyone here have experience with collapsed trachea that could tell me? thanks

also her breathing was so bad last summer, i'm scared its going to be worse this year, i asked my vet about having something to tranquilize her in case she has a very bad episode where she can't calm down and breathe, she has them now but with the bad ones i'm scared she is going to not snap out of it and suffocate. is my vet wrong, should i have a sedative for emergency? i've read about some people on here having that just in case
