But she fretted and fretted that it might not be the best spot, so she would dig it up and walk to the other side of the yard, find the perfect spot again, and repeat the whole procedure. She would do this several times before she was satisfied enough to walk away and leave it there. It was almost painful to watch the frustration that went along with this.

DH and I always laughed at that TV commercial where the dog worried so much about the burial spot for his bone that he rode the bus to the bank and put it In a lock box for safe keeping. Then he worried more and ended up bringing it home and guarding it next to his bed. It was so funny because that was Daisy to a "T".

But what Daisy didn't realize was that Teddy Bear was lying still casually watching her every move. As soon as Daisy finally walked away from the biscuit, exhausted, Teddy Bear casually trotted over, moved the leaves off of it and ate it. The look on Daisy's face said it all. If doggies have curse words, I'm sure Daisy was using them on Teddy. We couldn't help but laugh. We had to laugh too because every time we would know what the end result would be but I guess each time she thought she had outsmarted him. She never has but she is still trying. Haha
My Matese (now passed) would do that with her toys, she would spend the entire day burying (in dirt lol) digging it up and re-burying somewhere else, she had inside and outside toys lol. I didn't want those dirty nasty toys in the house, she was always trying to sneak one in. I have a pic in my album of her trying to get past me, I would tell her "not in the house" lol, it was so hard to deny her lol.
