 Tick Prevention
We gave Baxter the med prevention oil between his shoulder blades once - he began to act almost as if he were becoming paralyzed - he got all stiff legged and confused looking. Scared me to high heaven and have not given him a tick prevention medication since (that was four years ago). Since that time we do the "tick hunt" several times a day. Baxter seems to enjoy these tick hunts and he simply lays there, I swear with a smile on his face, as we rummage through his fur and every crook and cranny looking for those little blood sucking scavengers. We tell him "let's look for ticks" and he lays down immediately - he loves it!
We live in a high tick area - with deer ticks. They are so tough to find and worry always.
