I was not told not to walk my setter with a harness after it was done, that is probably why it bled. The first thing they did was check to make sure the chip was still in.
That will make it difficult to walk Teek when I use a harness with him.
I do think I will have it done this Saturday though, it worries me that he is not chipped.
As for the person with the 13 year old, I am not sure I would have it done at that age to be honest. I would definitely ask the vet.
I called Teek's vet and they want $60 to chip him and I told them I would go somewhere else as that is just too much when I can get it done for $15 at the mobile vet at Pet Sense.
I am having the puppies done when they are fixed so they won't feel it. They will be on limited mobility for several days anyway and hopefully using pee pads so not using a harness will be good.
