It is so encouraging to see these since I adopted my Yorkie at 9 years old. He got younger after I adopted him though. I think he has a number of years left. My only regret is that I didn't get him when he was younger.
He settled right in with me and his new pampered life of being loved and adored and having a stay at home mommy who loves him.
