In my opinion, which does not have to affect yours, is that it's fine for the pup to leave it's mother at both eight and twelve weeks; however, it needs to be ready and at a good weight/size, and the breeder needs to be educated and have good judgment. Of course, if the pup is not ready to leave the mother, the breeder can keep it until it is. | Every one gets lucky. It is a sign of a bad breeder to let pups go before 12 weeks. The mother club of yorkies says 12 weeks and there is some good links posted in this thread you should read.
