Lola will not sit on our laps at all
, sometimes I try to force her but if she in not allowed to slobber all over my face she will wiggle till I let her go, she sits near us but not touching us and if I reach over to pet her she leaps down off the couch, at night she sleeps in a small bed at the foot of our bed between my husband and I. In the morning she rolls over and lets me scratch her tummy. It's odd she is affectionate in so many ways but yet is not a lap dog or craves petting.
There is one situation where she insists on trying to get on my lap, and that is when I am in the bathroom, she could be sound asleep on another floor and if she hears me go into one of the bathrooms she bolts in, then practically leaps into my arms. Perhaps I should upholster an old toilet and seat and put it next to my couch so I could get a little more lap time out of her
