I used to drink coffee like my grandmom, tons of light cream and sugar, basically coffee ice cream. I gradually cut the amounts down over a few months and now I just use milk.
I also use a digital food scale, I originally bought it for calorie counting. Even though I'm not formally tracking right now it helps portion out high calorie items. It's also useful for cooking, like measuring out a cup of peanut butter is messy and inaccurate, with the scale I figure out how many grams are in a cup and use a knife to put it directly in the mixing bowl. |
Lemon juice on broccoli sounds very good. I am sure that portion control is an issue for me, I think I am better than I used to be but I think if I focused on specific areas of improvement portion management would be one of the areas for sure!
