Lilah, I think you should research low carb diets and their effects on cholesterol. I've seen a lot of people say on forums that it helped them, but haven't looked into it deeper than that.
I'm not talking about super low less than 20g diets, more like less than 100g. That's basically what I'm trying to do, but I'm not counting right now.
It seems like the combination of high fat and high carb is more dangerous than either by itself.
I totally agree about margarine, it's disgusting and unhealthy, I feel the same way about artificial sweeteners (including stevia). I stick to butter, coconut oil, and some olive oil. It's ridiculous how much stuff they put artificial sweeteners in, I'd rather eat something less sweet. |
