I ended up just leaving him alone sometimes for a couple hours and he did fine then. He was protected in his pen and had all he needed but I was nervous of course and was always eager to get back home to him but he was always fine. Now he is almost 5 and he has a fit when I do leave and a fit when I come home. I still leave him in his pen because he would run out the door after me when I left and when I got home and brought all the groceries in the house so he is best left in his pen. If the size of his poo concerns you I would ask your vet. I have no idea what to tell you about that. Hope you do well with your new baby and welcome to Yorkie Talk. |
Thanks silver lace for your advice. I have the same setup of yours, instead of a bed I have his crate. This Wednesday I have to leave him for about 2 hours. I know we have to do these things, but so nervous. So far I've put him in his pen and stayed outside for 10 - 15 min. I can hear him crying but only get him out when he's quite. I hope I don't have an unhappy puppy or a huge mess when I get home. Wish me luck
