You could always start out with just 30 minutes at first and then increase it gradually. I think doing it that way helps to decrease their chances of getting separation anxiety. You could always setup a webcam to just to monitor them to see how they react. Thankfully my little mainly sleeps which is what I want. That lets me know that she is mentally stable and not suffering from separation anxiety.

Heck sometimes she sleeps so hard, she doesn't even hear me come in.
