I know my salad dressings aren't healthy, I plan to move to something better in the future, but not now.
Kombucha isn't something I'd risk, I have almost no immunoglobulin A so my mucus membranes aren't protected. I wouldn't risk ceviche either, it sounds good though. I want to try making my own kefir, I like the store bought stuff but it's too expensive to buy regularly. Kefir helps keep my stomach ok on antibiotics.
I also have IBS and acid reflux.
I don't like soy sauce, too salty and not fond of the taste, but thanks for the suggestions.
My main food goals are won't make me sick, easy to make, not too expensive, minimal time/energy, and can be made ahead of time. All the goals don't have to be met with every food.
I like to experiment, but it has to be done carefully and kept pretty bland or I have to be willing to suffer. My best friend's mom is half Puerto Rican and they spent years in Texas. I've tried a bunch of different stuff with them, but I usually end up sick.
Animal fats, too much of other fats (greasy cheese, butter, fried foods), too much acid, too spicy, and certain combinations (such as milky alcoholic drinks) are my main triggers.
I can't even eat spaghetti sauce.
It took years to figure out what I can eat and what I'll pay for, so I'm not the easiest person to suggest things for, but thanks for trying. |
